Offering of Sorrow, Unity and Prayers

We write today with great sorrow and a solemn pledge of our unity with you and all our Muslim sisters and brothers in Christchurch and throughout the world in the face of the violence of such unspeakable hatred and ignorance.  As followers with you of the one, holy, compassionate and merciful God, we wish to clearly assure you that you are not alone.

On behalf of all the communities of faith of the Watchung Hills Clergy Association, we mourn with you and stand with you as friends, sisters, and brothers in this gift of God's beloved human family.  Any act of hatred or violence committed against one is an act of violence and hatred against all.  We commit to seeking together with you how we, as people of faith, might discover new ways of expressing and living more fully our unity in the precious gift of our common humanity.

With continuing prayers for you and our pledge to stand with you and all those threatened or assaulted by hatred or violence of any kind,

The Rev. Victoria McGrath. Rector, All Saints Episcopal Church, Millington, New Jersey
