Lent 2026

May the grace and peace of the Holy Spirit be with us forever!

As we enter into the sacred season of Lent, the Church invites us to walk more intentionally with Our Lord on His journey to Calvary. This holy season calls each of us to repentance of sin, conversion of heart, perseverance in faith, and loving surrender to Christ Crucified. It is a time when we pause, reflect, and allow God’s mercy to renew us so that we may more fully live as His disciples. As taught by Thomas Augustine Judge, C.M., every Catholic is called to be an Apostle — bringing Christ’s love, mercy, and truth into the world through prayer, witness, and service.

“Return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning; rend your hearts, not your garments, and return to the Lord, your God.” — Joel 2:12–13

Throughout the year, the Shrine of Saint Joseph stands as a sacred place where countless souls encounter Christ’s healing love. Pilgrims come seeking peace, prayer, reconciliation, and hope. During Lent in a special way, many faithful gather here to pray the Stations of the Cross, participate in the Sacraments, and deepen their relationship with Christ through quiet reflection and devotion.

Lent reminds us that true conversion begins when we humbly acknowledge our need for God’s mercy. In repentance, we turn away from sin and open our hearts to transformation. Through perseverance in faith, we remain steadfast even when carrying our own crosses. And through surrender in love, we unite our sacrifices with Christ’s ultimate offering on the Cross, trusting that His love brings new life. Living as apostles of Christ means allowing this transformation to bear fruit in our daily lives and in the lives of those we encounter.

Your generous support helps make this sacred ministry possible. Gifts to the Shrine sustain daily prayer, liturgical celebrations, outreach to pilgrims, preservation of this holy space, and the many spiritual programs that guide souls closer to Christ. Each offering, no matter the size, becomes a prayerful act of love that supports the mission of forming apostles who bring hearts to Jesus.

Please prayerfully consider making a sacrificial gift to the Shrine of Saint Joseph. In doing so, you join in the work of fostering faith, offering hope, and creating a place where countless individuals can encounter the mercy and love of Christ Crucified.

Please know that you and your loved ones are remembered in prayer at the Shrine, especially during this holy season. May the grace of this Lenten journey lead you to a deeper conversion of heart and to the joy of the Resurrection at Easter.

With gratitude for your faithful support and prayers, I remain,

In the Most Holy Trinity,

Father Seraphim Molina, S.T., Director, Shrine of Saint Joseph
